What we were dealing with
- •Heavy road film and winter salt residue across the lower panels

- •Engine bay caked in dust that made leaks impossible to spot
What we did
- 1Thick foam pre-soak to soften road film before any contact
- 2Jambs, bed rails and running boards cleaned by hand — the places a tunnel wash never reaches
- 3Sensitive engine bay components covered, degreaser applied cold, agitated and rinsed at low pressure
- 4Plastics and hoses dressed matte so the bay stays readable, not glossy
- 5Paint sealed for winter protection
How it turned out
- •Truck looks maintained rather than merely washed
- •Clean engine bay means a leak or a worn belt is now visible early
