Questions, answered plainly.
Everything we get asked before a first booking — deposits, coatings, pet hair, dry times, insurance and pricing. If something is not here, ask us and we will add it.
Booking & deposits
How the date gets held, and what you pay when.
How do I book?+
Online, in about two minutes. Pick the package, your vehicle size, any add-ons and an arrival window. The full price is on screen before you confirm — you are never waiting on a quote by phone.
How far out are you usually booked?+
Standard details typically go out one to two weeks; ceramic coatings further, because they take one to two full days of the calendar. If you have a date in mind, book early and we will text you if something opens sooner.
Why is there a deposit?+
We hold a specific half-day or full day for one vehicle and turn other work away for it. The deposit is how both sides know the date is real.
How much is the deposit?+
$50 on any standard detail, $99 on a ceramic coating. Both come off the final invoice dollar-for-dollar — they are not an extra fee.
When do I pay the balance?+
After the final walk-around, once you have seen the work. Card, tap or check.
Can I reschedule?+
Give us 48 hours and the deposit moves to the new date, no questions asked. Inside 48 hours, or a same-day cancellation, the deposit covers the slot we can no longer fill.
What happens if it rains?+
We reschedule at no cost and your deposit carries over. We would rather move the date than rush a coating or a polish in the wrong conditions.
Do I have to be home?+
No, as long as we can reach the vehicle and you are reachable by phone for the walk-around and any scope questions. Many clients leave keys and go to work.
The mobile service itself
What we bring, what we need, and how the day runs.
Do you need my water and power?+
No. We arrive self-contained with our own tanks, generator and lighting. If you would rather we use your spigot, that is fine too.
How much space do you need?+
About one and a half parking spaces around the vehicle, and room for the van nearby. A flat driveway is ideal; a shaded spot is better still.
Can you work in a garage?+
Yes, and for polishing and coatings we prefer it. We need enough room to open doors fully and walk all the way around.
Do you work at offices and apartments?+
Offices and workplaces, yes — it is one of our most common jobs. Apartment complexes depend on the property rules; check with management first, and tell us at booking.
How long does a detail take?+
The Essential runs about an hour and a half, the Signature and Interior Deep Clean three to four hours, the Showroom five or more, and a ceramic coating one to two full days.
What are your hours?+
We run morning and afternoon arrival windows Monday through Saturday. Sundays are reserved for family.
Do you work in winter?+
Yes. Interiors run year round, and exterior work happens whenever conditions allow it to be done correctly — we will move a date rather than wash in freezing conditions.
Pricing & what is included
Fixed pricing, written scope, no surprises on the day.
Is the price I see the final price?+
Yes, for the scope you booked. If we find something on arrival that changes the work — heavy pet hair, a stain that needs extraction, contamination that will not clay out — we tell you the cost then and you decide. Nothing is added afterwards.
Why do SUVs and trucks cost more?+
More paint, more glass, more carpet and more time. A mid SUV adds $30 and a large SUV, pickup or van adds $60 to the package price.
Are you the cheapest in Wentzville?+
No, and we do not try to be. We use named products, take the time the job needs, and carry insurance. If price alone is the deciding factor, there are faster options in town.
Do you offer gift certificates?+
Yes — for a specific package or a dollar amount. Message us and we will send one you can print or forward.
Do you take fleet or multi-vehicle work?+
Yes. Two or more vehicles at one address on the same day are priced together — send us the list and we will put numbers to it.
What payment methods do you take?+
Card and tap on site, or check. The deposit is paid through a secure link we text you after we confirm the date — nothing is charged during booking.
Ceramic coatings & paint protection
What a coating actually does, and what it does not.
What does a ceramic coating actually do?+
It bonds a hard, slick layer to your clear coat that resists chemical etching from bird droppings and bugs, makes washing dramatically easier, and holds gloss for years instead of months. It is protection and ease of care — not armor.
Will a coating stop scratches?+
No. A coating adds meaningful chemical and UV resistance and some marring resistance, but nothing stops a rock chip or a careless car wash brush. Correct washing is still what keeps paint swirl-free.
Why does paint correction come first?+
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Swirls and etching polished out before coating are gone; swirls sealed under a coating are there for the life of the coating.
How long does a coating last?+
One to five years depending on the product tier, how the vehicle is stored, and how it is washed. We tell you the realistic figure for your vehicle, not the bottle's best case.
Coating, sealant or wax — which do I need?+
Wax gives weeks of warmth and gloss, a sealant gives several months of durable protection, a coating gives years and the easiest washing. Our Learn section walks through the trade-offs in detail.
How do I wash a coated car?+
pH-neutral soap, two buckets, a clean mitt, and no automatic brush washes. We send you home with aftercare instructions and can maintain it for you on a plan.
Interiors, pet hair & odors
The honest answers on what comes out and what does not.
Can you really get all the dog hair out?+
Almost always. Barbed hair woven into the weave comes out with rubber brushes and pumice, then extraction pulls it clear. Heavy shedding on a three-row vehicle takes real time, which is why it is a $85 add-on rather than folded into the base price.
Will my stains come out?+
Water-based spills — coffee, juice, soda, mud — usually lift completely, even months later. Dye transfer, ink, bleach and sun-faded fabric may improve without disappearing. We tell you which one you have before we start.
Can you get rid of smoke or pet odor?+
Odor lives in the carpet padding and cabin filter, not the surface. Extraction plus an ozone treatment neutralizes what remains. Long-term smoke in an older vehicle may need a second visit.
How long until the interior is dry?+
Two to four hours in good weather with the windows cracked, longer on a humid Missouri afternoon. We use controlled moisture and air movers to keep it short.
Is it safe for leather and screens?+
Yes. pH-balanced leather cleaner and a non-greasy conditioner that leaves a matte factory finish, and dedicated screen-safe products — never all-purpose cleaner on a touchscreen.
Do you clean child seats?+
We clean around and under them, and we will wipe the shell. We do not uninstall or disassemble harnesses — that is a safety item that belongs with you and the manual.
Maintenance plans
Recurring care without re-booking every time.
Am I locked into a contract?+
No. Plans are month to month. Pause for the winter, skip a visit when you are traveling, or stop entirely — we just ask for a week's notice so we can fill the slot.
Why recurring instead of one big detail a year?+
Paint damage is cumulative. Bird etching, brake dust and road film do their worst in the weeks they sit on the surface. Frequent correct washing prevents the swirls a once-a-year correction has to grind out.
Do I get the same detailer every time?+
Yes — same person, same window, same chemistry. That consistency is most of the point.
Can I put more than one vehicle on a plan?+
Yes. Additional vehicles at the same address are added at a reduced visit rate since we are already on site.
Trust, insurance & areas
Who we are and where we go.
Are you insured?+
Yes, fully insured for mobile detailing including work performed on client property. We will send the certificate on request.
Who actually shows up?+
The owner-operator, on every job. You are not handed off to a rotating crew that has never seen your vehicle before.
What areas do you serve?+
Wentzville, Lake Saint Louis, O'Fallon, St. Peters, Weldon Spring, Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, New Melle, Foristell, St. Charles, Troy and Warrenton — roughly 25 miles around Wentzville. Ask if you are just outside it.
Is there a travel fee?+
Not inside the service area. Beyond it we will quote the travel honestly before you book.
Do you work on classic and project cars?+
Yes, and gladly. Older single-stage paint, delicate trim and long-stored vehicles get a slower, more conservative approach — tell us what we are working with when you book.
What if I am not happy with something?+
Tell us at the walk-around, or call the same week. If we missed something within the scope we agreed, we come back and put it right.
